Stitching Bee Report

The stitching bee was great. I had 3 moms show up out of the 13 that I invited. I was hoping for more but maybe the next time a few more will want to come. I was really glad for the 3 that showed up. We had a great time sewing and visiting. I felt great about it and I hope they had fun too. I am already thinking up plans for next month. I am thinking we will do something for spring. Here is my finished product. I bought this frame at Wal-mart (during one of my adventures) for $3.00. I think it suits the stitching perfectly.

We stitched and ate this:
the most delicious form of popcorn I have ever had. It is popcorn covered in white chocolate and crushed candy cane. Here is my version of the recipe:
White Chocolate Candy Cane Popcorn
2 bags microwave popcorn
1 1/2 bags white chocolate chips
10 regular sized candy canes
Crush candy canes in food processor or by hand but you want them crushed fairly fine.
Pop popcorn and place in a large bowl.
Melt chocolate in a double boiler or a bowl over a pot of boiling water
Mix crushed candy cane in with melted chocolate
Pour melted chocolate over popcorn
Stir to mix
Pour out onto a sheet of parchment paper and spread out to cool
DEVOUR and I mean DEVOUR

  2. Sounds like a success to me! If you are looking for a bunny to use feel free to use the one on my blog side bar. I may have to try that popcorn recipe.
