Dear Walmart,
Ever heard of a little season called Spring? In most of the continental United States we experience slush, mud puddles, melting snow, and rain during this season. You would think that you would jump on board by offering your loyal customers some sort of selection of rain boots. But oh no Walmart. You have gone from winter snow boots right to sandals, skipping over the season entirely. Not a rainboot to be found in your store. Sorry I take that back, you had those big black ugly mens rubber boots. You leave me no choice but to go elsewhere to find my puddle loving daughter a pair of rain boots for the season we are praying will arrive any day now. Thanks once again Walmart for giving us the appearance of a store that has everything but really has not much of anything.
Sincerely,
Dissatisfied.
Anyone out there know where I can find some really cute, affordable rainboots for small fry currently a size 5?
Target! They always have really cute ones in all sizes! Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen them this year yet but Target has had them in the past. And Children's Place. Also, I got a pair 2 years ago for my oldest at a consignment shop. They were in decent shape and she can still wear them! (I knew they were too big when I bought them but couldn't pass up the deal!) I'm on the hunt for 2 more pairs for my other two munchkins now.
ReplyDeleteAnother vote for Target. If you can't find them in the shoe section, sometimes there's a section of kid-sized garden tools near the toys or outside stuff. In years past they have also had boots there.
ReplyDeleteyep Target. We have bought the green froggy boots a few years in a row as my daughter outgrew them because she loved them so much. They also have pink hello kitty ones and a few other ones. They usually run about $15
ReplyDeleteTarget must be the only place to sell them because that was my suggestion too. I've seen some really cute designs on their website. Makes me almost wish we needed them here in Phoenix!
ReplyDeleteI would check ebay also. I have seen many used pairs on there before in great condition.
ReplyDeleteI literally just left my Walmart store and they were emptying tonnnns of boxes all over the store to start stocking new spring items. Included in these boxes was a shiny box of new rain boots!! I got some for me there, but I also bought some for my son at Target. DEFINITELY CUTER AT TARGET!!
ReplyDeleteYep, Target! I saw them there the other day. :)
ReplyDeleteTarget does have really cute rain boots! :)
ReplyDeleteTarget! That is where I have always seen them!
ReplyDeletei got some for my little girls at walmart. we live in indiana, does that make a difference maybe? there were cute pink ones, polka dot ones and white ones. maybe they are still there at yours?
ReplyDeleteI will look again at my walmart- maybe they forgot about spring and are suddenly remembering. If not Target sounds like the place to go or I like the e-bay idea too. Thanks so much!!!
ReplyDeleteAnother Target vote here. I got rainboots for both myself and my daughter about 2 weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteIf you don't mind ordering online Lands End has some cute ones. When my dd was about 10 she was quite upset that they didn't have the cutest ones in her size. The bonus of ordering LE online is that if you need to you can return them at Sears (and possibly Kmart).
ReplyDeleteNow I'm thinking about checking Target for my 12 yo. Her boots are sheepskin and totally inappropriate for rain and puddles.
I just saw some at Target this morning. And they were ca-ute!
ReplyDeletejust bought a pair at target and I agree they are absolutely adorable!!!
ReplyDeleteTarget has Hello Kitty ones out right now. I bought a CUTE pair of Zebra ones at Babies R Us a couple weeks ago, and the pair that my oldest daughter wears we bought at Old Navy Last year. ALL were $20 or less.
ReplyDeleteGOOD LUCK!
Your "dear walmart" posts crack me up. They are so universally true!
ReplyDeleteThis may be too late, but I just saw the cutest ladybug boots at of all places, KMart. Unfortunately, I had already bought some for my daughter at Target. Still cute, but the ladybugs were darling and $2 cheaper!
ReplyDeletePS I've been "lurking" for a while, I think this is my first official comment. Love your blog!
