Birthday Card #5-Super Simple Boy Birthday

This one is courtesy of Allisha (my friend and neighbor).  It is a super simple "Boy" card (but you could make it a girl card too by changing your colors.)  I find it hard to come up with things for boys so I am grateful for this easy idea.
1. Start by cutting your card piece 4 1/4 x 11" and fold it in half.
 2. Cut a piece of ric rac 4 1/4" in length.  Adhere to cardstock 1 1/4" from the bottom of the card.  Cut a piece of patterned paper to 1 1/2x 4 1/4" and place over the ric rac.
 3. Stamp sentiment on leftover background paper.  Allisha used Close to my Heart "C1257 Happy Birthday".  Ink edges of card and sentiment.  Attach sentiment with a pop glue dot.  Cut a piece of string 22" in length and tie it around the front of the card (trim ends).  Cover a chipboard star with patterned paper, ink edges and adhere by sentiment.
Done.  Simple, easy and cute.  Happy Crafting.
