Valentines Buckets With Magnet Names

My little town recently got a hardware store (interesting how many things you can find for crafting at the hardware store eh?).  I noticed these paint pails there a few weeks ago and thought they would be super cute for Valentines buckets for the girls.
The problem was that they were like $4.39 a piece which I thought was a bit steep for a one time use thing.  But then I had an idea to make them into something that can be used for both Valentines Day and for Easter and maybe even for other holidays through the year.  So I spray painted them white...
then I decorated them like this for Valentines Day.
I printed off the letters for the girls names on printable magnet paper (which I am now in love with) and cut them out.  This way I can change the lettering to a more Eastery color or to say something all together different for other holidays.  I could even print out clip art or other things to add for other holidays.  Totally simple but super cute.
I love how they turned out.

  7. That is awesome! I have storage issues living in an apartment and all. But, magnets would be easy to store. Love reading a blog where $5 is too expensive for a one time craft. So many blogs seem to have unlimited crafting budgets. Thanks for keeping it real!
