You Are My World-Hubby Valentines Day Idea

I found the most fantastic set of FREE printables at Kiki & Company and they are perfect for making a Valentines mini album for your husband or boyfriend.  There are lots of cards to choose from and even some blank ones to make your own.  I used 5 premade cards, plus 4 make your own cards and then one for the cover (making 10 pages total).

I created my album out of chipboard and my fabulous mini paper bags.  I cut the chipboard pieces to match the size of the paper bags (cut down-5 1/4 x 4 1/4").  I rounded the corners of the chipboard and then inked all the edges.
I added an eyelet to the corner of each piece.
I double mounted each card and then attached them to the front of each album piece.

And now for the album:
Here is what I came up with.  It is pretty simple but it is for my hubby so I don't always go all out on the cutesyness of things when they are for him.
On the backsides of the chipboard pieces I wrote stuff and I put the make your own cards on the paper bags and then came up with sayings that could relate to a treat I could put in the bag.  This one had skittles

This one had peanut M& M's in it.

This one has a big fat rice krispie treat in it.

And this last one has a coupon for an ice cream in it.

There are tons of possibilities with these and really you don't even have to be that crafty to make this.  Mine is mostly writing.  Sometimes craftiness is overrated on husband gifts anyways.  Check out the free printables  at Kiki & Company.  These are probably one of my favorite Valentines printables to date.  So perfect for the one you love.  (oooh- a brilliant idea just hit me-you could have a little date night with your spouse and make a set of the blank ones for each and see what you could come up with for each other).

Some of My Favorite Free Valentines Day Printables

Don't you just love free stuff.  Even if I don't need it I want it just because it is free (is that a sign of being a hoarder???? YIKES).  Anyway Pinterest just adds to my "must have more free stuff" fetish.  But what I love about Pinterest is now I don't have to have it all at once.  I can find it, pin it and then come back to it at another time-you know spread out the free stuff love.  Well here are a few FREE Valentines Day printables that I just LOVE!!!!  Now you can print them out yourself and share them with someone that you love too.

Easy Peasy Job Chart for Kids.

I have recently been thinking that it is time for Small Fry to have a few more jobs and I wanted to create an easy, kid friendly job chart for her.  I found this one at Target in the dollar section.  I made some simple job pictures (the jobs are targeted at a 3 year old level).  I printed them out on printable magnet paper but they actually weren't strong enough to hold through the chart so I reinforced them on a sheet of magnet with a sticky back (I ordered that on line a while back but you might be able to find magnet sheets in a office supply store).  These were much stronger.  I made a few extra jobs so that I could change them up from time to time.  I added extra magnet to the back of the chart as it only had one small piece.

The idea is-she looks on her chart and sees the jobs and then when she has done one she can put a smiley sun beside it.  At first I told her when they were all done she would have a reward but that actually was causing me more stress than having the chart be helpful.  So now before she can go somewhere or do the next fun thing I remind her she needs to get 3 jobs done, or 4 jobs done, or 2 jobs done (depends on what time of day and what activity) or she will ask if she can have an M&M and I tell her when she has 3 jobs done.  That way I am not stressing over whether or not the jobs are getting done.  It will probably change over time (how I use it) but I like have a visual list of things that she can help with in a place where she can see it.

And to make it even easier for you to make one here is a link to the job's and smiley suns for you to download and print.

Thank-You Card Week: Printable Thank-You Cards

When it came time for me to make my "Thank-You cards" I just had the hardest time coming up with inspiration.  I am sure others of you know how that is.  And for others yet you may not have the supplies or you may not be "crafty" and think you can't make these.  So I thought, "You know what we really need is a list of premade, click and print thank you cards."  And that is what I have for you today; a list of some of my favorite printable and free "Thank-You cards."  You can print these on cardstock or on photo paper, add a ribbon or other little embelishment and you are good to go.  There are lots more out there-these are just a few of my favs.  Click on the picture to take you to the card.  Enjoy!!!

And lastly (this one wouldn't let me copy the image) but it is gorgeous (orange and pink flowers)
