Diaper Bag Lady

Can you have too many diaper bags? I mean, you can't have too many purses right? So why not a healthy selection of diaper bags too. Well at least that is what I think. I have just completed another style of diaper bag but this one is to give away to a friend having a baby in a couple of weeks. This is the fourth Amy Butler diaper bag that I have made. Each one is so different and I absolutely love her patterns. Her patterns are not for the beginner sewer I am afraid to say. However the instructions do make more sense as you are actually sewing the item than they do if you are just reading them by themselves. Here is what I have created including the latest one.

This is the first bag that I made.
This is the called the Birdie Sling. It is not actually a diaper bag pattern but I think it has all the essentials to make a good diaper bag
This was the third bag that I made. It is kind of big especially when carried by a short person like me. It works nice for travel because it holds a lot.

This is the latest bag. It is called the Everything Bag. It has a nice sturdy box shape. I think it is by far my favorite one.
Here is a look at the inside of it (including a couple of accessories that I made)

  1. Love the bags. I think the last one is my favorite, too. I bought a pattern for just a regular purse that kind of looks like that, so when I get more advanced I may post...or I may post my mess up like on your imperfect blog, but I still think the cookies looked perfect:)

  5. I agree with you about the Amy Butler patterns. I made the Everything bag for my daughter and it wasn't an easy task. When I was done I was very pleased but it was by far the hardest pattern to follow.
