Am I the last person on earth to try this dessert? Seriously, how have I gone on this long without knowing about this. I was asked to make this heavenly fluff for a wedding this summer and I was blown away by how easy and amazing it was. I am not sure of it's official dessert name so I am calling it Fluffy Cheesecake. It surpasses other cheesecakes in my book for many reasons: taste and ease of preparation being the top 2.
Here is the recipe in case you are the last person on earth to try this dessert:
Fluffy Cheesecake
Crust:
4 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 cup butter melted
1 cup sugar
Filling:
2 -8oz packages cream cheese (must be softened)
24 oz coolwhip (thawed)
1 cup sugar
Mix all crust ingredients together in a bowl then press into a 9X13 pan. (I actually found that this makes a really thick crust so if you have a pan larger than 9X13 then use it or two smaller pans).
Combine all filling ingredients and mix with an electric mixer. Spread over crust. Cool. Serve.
You can put fresh fruit on top or pie filling but it taste divine plain too. Warning: you could possibly consume the whole pan by yourself. Eat with supervision.
This is my all time FAV.O.RITE cheesecake. I made the filling when my friend's second daughter was being blessed. We wanted it to be easy for guests to eat, so I found some small plastic nut cups at a restaurant supply store (the kind the stores use for samples). Instead of making the graham cracker crust, I used 'Nilla wafers. Scooped the filling out with a 1 Tbsp. cookie scoop into each cup and the topped them off with different toppings.
ReplyDeleteOk...now I am the last person on earth to have never tried this! Ive got to try this!

ReplyDeleteI tried this last night. It was great!!!! Loved it and it was sooo easy. I had thought though, wouldn't it be sooo good to use oreo's in the crust and mix some in the filling as well? I'm trying that next time. Thanks for the great recipe!
ReplyDeleteYes that would be so good with oreos. Oh I am trying that next time too.
