To monetize or not to monetize-that is the question
Pretty much I would like to make some money as well as write this "totally awesome, can't live without it" blog (those are my words or maybe...hopefully...some of your words). So the question is, should I monetize my blog? Anyone, anyone? Does it make any money? Do you get really weird ads that you wish weren't on your blog? Is it worth it?

I've wondered the same thing myself. I have the whole thing set up, all I have to do is add it, but I'm totally afraid to.
ReplyDeleteI looked into ads through blogHer a few months ago and they were full. :( Bummer. Maybe that has changed now, so it's worth a try. I have heard they have pretty good ads and some control. I just found this blog:

And, I plan to look more into this topic myself.
Personally, I have absolutely no problem with people who want to make some money from their blogs. After all, although fun, it is also work. I personally haven't taken this step because it is one more thing that I haven't gotten to.
It's funny you should mention that.... I was reading about monetizing this morning and have some of the same concerns. I'm relatively new at this blogging thing; still a lot to learn! Thank you, Jane, for the link. I'm going to check that out, too.
