Thrift Store Marathon
A while back I had an idea for a fantastic and very productive day of thrift storing; a marathon if you will. Basically the idea is to get up at the crack of dawn to drive a couple of hours from my home then hit as many thrift stores/yard sales/consignment shops as I can as I make my way back home. I presented the idea to a few friends in town (who luckily don't think I am totally crazy-or at least don't say it to my face) who said they would be up for such an adventure and thus was born the "Thrift Store Marathon" one grueling day for all those who are frugally inclined. No pre-training or conditioning required-as long as you can push a shopping cart, open your purse with one hand while holding a stack in the other, swipe you credit card flawlessly, and snack in the car as you go-you will make it in this marathon. We are scheduled for Sat the 16th. Right now there are 4 of us embarking on this journey. If you are saying, "I want to do that" then don't hesitate for one minute. Send me and e-mail and I will send you the *EXCLUSIVE* t-shirt design. And if anyone out there knows of a "must stop" thrift store between Lehi, Ut and Spanish Fork let me know.
